July at Soulshine: Yoga and Therapeutic Drawing Series

Hello Soulshine Community,

It's been a little while. Over the past couple of months, we've taken a bit of a beat here at Soulshine Sanctuary—and we're grateful you've been here, patiently waiting.

As we step into July, we're SO excited to reconnect with you.

Summer often arrives with an expectation to do more. Longer days become fuller calendars. So much abundance - vacations, camps, gatherings, celebrations - but also the feeling as though we need to keep up with the pace around us.

But what if, amongst all this beautiful rapid energy, we can also carve out time for our bodies and souls.

To take that longer exhale.

To return inwards.

To listen.

To simply be.

At Soulshine Sanctuary, we believe that healing doesn't happen by pushing harder—it happens when we create space for our nervous systems to settle, and for our bodies to feel safe enough to let go.

That's why we're so excited to introduce a beautiful new offering this summer.

Rest. Release. Restore.

Beginning this July, our very own Coco will be leading a Yoga & Therapeutic Drawing Series—a thoughtfully created experience that weaves together gentle movement, creativity, mindfulness, and self-reflection.

It’s called Mindful Movement.

Whether you've been feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stretched, disconnected, or simply longing for a slower rhythm, this series is designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Often time in trauma healing, we can feel our body holding tensions that no longer serves us or our minds swirling with thoughts and dangers that are no longer present. This class, these classes, can offer a space to release that tension and rest that mind to restore and reconnect with the wisdom that’s already within you.

No artistic or yoga experience is needed as this is an invitation to arrive as you are

The series will be starting Wednesday July 29 from 6pm - 730 in our Burnaby office location - yoga room. The classes will include Gentle Yoga sequences, breathwork, followed by therapeutic drawing exercises that provides space for creativity and expression from within. Take part in one class or sign up for all five. Amongst the busy, energetic summer, this is your opportunity to rest and come back to yourself and release what no longer serves you.
