September Self Care Focus: Grounding and Routine

Welcome to our first blog post! How fitting the timing is for this start as September is often a month of transition, new beginnings and of new insights. As the leaves begin to turn and the air becomes crisp, this month invites us into a season of reflection and grounding. The transition from summer to fall is a natural time to slow down, check in with yourself, and reconnect with what nourishes your soul.

September Self Care Focus: Grounding and Routine
September is often a month of fresh starts - new school years, new schedules, new rhythm. It’s also a wonderful time to create grounding routines that support our mental health.

  1. Grounding Breath:
Take 5 deep belly breaths when you first wake up in the morning before reaching for your phone or rushing to your To-do list.

  2. Go out for a Rainbow Walk in nature without a device.
When you are out, find things that are in the color of the rainbow in the ROYGBIV order.

  3. Start a gratitude practice at the end of the evening.
You can be lying in bed before drifting to sleep or even brushing your teeth. Name 3 things that happened that day you are grateful for.
