Depression Counselling
Depression can make even the smallest tasks feel unreachable. You are not broken - and you do not have to find your way through this alone
Depression is not simply sadness, and it is not a character flaw. It can show up as numbness, exhaustion, disconnection, or a quiet sense that nothing really matters. Counselling creates space to understand what is happening beneath the surface — and to gently begin moving toward life again.
What we work with
Persistent low mood, tearfulness, or emotional flatness
Loss of motivation, energy, or interest in things you once enjoyed
Anhedonia — the inability to feel pleasure or connection
Harsh self-criticism, shame, and feelings of worthlessness
High-functioning depression — appearing fine while struggling inside
Postpartum depression and perinatal mood challenges
Burnout that has deepened into depression
Depression linked to chronic illness, pain, or life loss
The approach
We use an integrative approach tailored to each person. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps identify and shift the thought patterns that keep depression entrenched. Somatic and body-based work addresses the way depression lives in the nervous system — the heaviness, the shutdown, the disconnection from self.
Self-compassion practices are woven throughout, gently loosening the self-criticism that so often accompanies depression. Our goal is not to perform happiness — it is to help you reconnect with yourself at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
